The monthly First Friday Art Walk takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. 5, at locations throughout downtown Great Falls and beyond. Janet Sedlecek also has heart-shaped make-and-take art for all ages. Dutton artist Dana Elkins and Gallery 16’s newest corporate member painter Brenda Wolf are guest artists for the month of February.Many participating businesses provide refreshments, and all events are free unless otherwise stated. Friday marks the end of the “Paint a Skate” contest where anyone can bring in their recycled skates and enter them in adult or youth categories. During the art walk you can meet the artists, enjoy refreshments and listen to the music of Sally Jo and Friends.
Tilleraas will be painting live during the Art Walk, so come watch and visit with him. The David Humphreys Miller collection is currently on display, featuring 122 paintings and numerous photos depicting the survivors of the Battle of The Little Bighorn and beyond.

The town became incorporated in April 1883 with a city council form of government and in January 1922 transitioned to its current city manager/city commission form of government.
